On Friday, June 21, 2019, Dini Spheris will once again partner with United Way of Greater Houston to share an overview on Giving USA 2019: The Annual Report on Philanthropy for the Year 2018. Dini Spheris Principal, Angela Hodson and Senior Consultant, Nicole McWhorter, CFRE, will share findings on donor giving, funding trends and emerging issues impacting philanthropy and fundraising in the United States.

MEET THE PRESENTERS

Angela Hodson’s decades of fundraising and management experience includes having served as VP of Development at Baylor College of Medicine and successfully managing its $1 billion capital campaign as well as previously serving as the CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. As a seasoned campaigner and experienced chief executive, Angela’s consulting skills and deep insight enable her to impact a wide variety of institutional issues, from major gift fundraising and leadership coaching to financial and organizational management. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University. Currently, Angela serves on the Giving Institute board.

Nicole McWhorter’s experience includes counseling an institution about to embark on its first capital campaign to an organization laying the foundation for a $1 billion campaign. Nicole has guided clients of all sizes through their varying philanthropic and fundraising goals. She is an active member of Houston Junior League and an instructor at the University of Houston Nonprofit Leadership Alliance and Rice University Glasscock School of Continuing Studies. A graduate of Texas Tech University with a double major in Advertising and Public Relations and a double minor in Marketing and Communication Studies, Nicole uses her background to package institutional visions into compelling messages for her clients.
