Giving Institute Board member and principal of Dini Spheris, M. Anne Murphy responded, “The encouragement in all of these numbers is that philanthropy has steadily recovered from the Great Recession. Today, institutions should not fear to dream boldly, launch or continue campaigns and ask with conviction. These numbers tell us that the dollars for the best missions and the well-managed institutions are there for those who ask.”

These findings are contained in Giving USA 2015: The Annual Report on Philanthropy for the Year 2014.
