Development Best Practices: Taking your Development Program to the Next Level
In the nonprofit sector, philanthropy makes great things possible. A strong fundraising program is a necessary ingredient for success for organizations of all shapes and sizes. Whether you’re just starting out, looking to bolster your operations or preparing for large-scale plans, this six-session series will provide practical tools to enhance your fundraising program. In each of these sessions, staff from Dini Spheris will explore the topics below based on nearly 50 years of the firm’s knowledge and experience.
We encourage registrants to enroll in all six sessions, though each course may be taken individually. Registrants will be given online access to a development assessment, and those who register for the entire series have the opportunity to review the results with a member of Dini Spheris in a one-on-one session for 30 minutes.
Session 2: Wednesday, February 1, 2017 (9:00 a.m. to noon)
Leadership: Board Governance and Development Volunteers
Committed volunteers play an active role in shaping an organization’s fundraising. With the right people in the right roles, donor-centered fundraising is not only possible, it thrives. In this session, learn about characteristics of the most effective board leaders, as well as key strategies staff and board members can employ together to ensure thoughtful succession planning and a board that delivers big.
This is the second of six sessions offered in this series. The cost is $40 per session. Those who register for all six sessions before January 24 can do so at a discounted total rate of $200.
