The doors are open at J.E. and L.E. Mabee Adaptive Sports Complex at the Langham Creek Family YMCA, a facility designed especially for children with special needs.
The adaptive sports complex includes an accessible synthetic surface baseball field, a covered multipurpose pavilion, a barrier-free playground and plenty of green space for sports and outdoor play.
More than 1,000 individuals with special needs will be served by the baseball, swimming, tennis, basketball, soccer and flag football adaptive sports programs that will eventually be provided at the facility.
The center’s Harriet and Joe Foster Field also is the official home for the Miracle League, a youth baseball program dedicated to children with physical and mental disabilities. Read more.
