Biography

With an unwavering passion for serving others, a results-driven work ethic, and a joy for working on a team, Laynie brings a diverse portfolio of experience to her role as a Consulting Projects Manager at Dini Spheris. Laynie joined Dini Spheris from the development office of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, where she served as the Stewardship Coordinator. Within the vast network of the museum, Laynie honed her skills navigating donor-centric best practices, supporting annual giving and the capital campaign, and cultivating meaningful relationships through strategic planning.

Approaching nonprofit fundraising through a different lens, Laynie served on the Board of Directors of Art League Houston, where she facilitated community support and engagement in the arts, coordinated events and oversaw maintenance of the monthly budget. Following this, Laynie helped to create an educational nonprofit to reach underprivileged middle school students across Houston and provide them with tools for success. Taking this concept from ideas to fruition, Laynie serves on the founding board of this endeavor, spearheading business operations, fundraising, marketing and stewardship plans. In her role at Dini Spheris, Laynie has found the perfect blend of employing her business acumen and guiding nonprofits to reach their goals.

Born and raised in Houston, Laynie attended St. John’s School before venturing east to the College of William and Mary in Virginia where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing and a minor in art and art history. Laynie made a foray into teaching seventh grade math before finding a career in fundraising, development, and subsequently, consulting.

Laynie is passionate about her family, friends, art and spending time outside of Houston in West Texas and Colorado.
