The Center for Hearing and Speech (CHS) is a nationally renowned resource for pediatric hearing loss in Texas. The experts at CHS work with families to find the right solutions for each child through health services and spoken language education, from birth to early childhood. CHS is the only regional provider offering these services in a “one-stop shop,” and is proud to call Houston its home.
A few years ago, CHS board and executive leaders built a long-range plan for the Center that called for a relocation to the Texas Medical Center. To realize the fundraising goal of $22.5 million, CHS partnered with Dini Spheris to both plan for and implement the largest campaign in the organization’s 73-year history. The passionate and strategic team at Dini Spheris was just the right fit for CHS, bringing creative thinking, confidence and tactical implementation to the table, day in and day out.
Even through staff changes and the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, Dini Spheris helped drive the campaign to success. Four seven-figure gifts combined with many individual contributions to reach and surpass the goal (by $200,000, to date) – and, along the way, Dini Spheris helped CHS build an alumni database, formalize a master contact list and implement key practices of major gifts moves management.
