Nadeen Mustafa, consultant, will be speaking during session I on Building Better Boards with Diversity. In this session, Nadeen will speak about how diverse boards are better boards. What does diversity mean? Is diversity having individuals from different ethnicities, ages or incomes on your board? Is it industry and background variety? Diversity means different things depending on who you ask, but during this session you will learn why diversity is important, how to achieve meaningful diversity and what this means for your strategy and trajectory as an organization.
Holly Lang, principal, and Mary Claire Walther, consultant have a recorded session, Digital Engagement Strategies, that will be available after the conference. In this session, Holly and Mary Claire will speak about how technology in the nonprofit space has been on the rise for some time now. The 2020 pandemic pushed many nonprofits to adopt technology in new ways for nearly all of our constituent engagement needs. From fundraising to administration, board engagement to partner relationships – digital technology is at the forefront of how we interact. Within this “new normal,” how can nonprofit leaders use technology to truly connect and build relationships? This session will explore select nonprofit case studies in use of digital technology, as well as engage the audience in preparing their own “next practices” for maximizing effectiveness with common digital communication platforms.
