On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, Dini Spheris Principals, Angela Hodson and Holly Lang will partner with United Way to share an overview on Giving USA 2018: The Annual Report on Philanthropy for the Year 2017. Attendees will learn important insights on donor giving, funding trends and emerging issues impacting philanthropy. The session will cover recent research on benchmarking for Human Services Organizations, giving and the Golden Years, giving to Religion and data on Donor-Advised Funds while also highlighting giving trends for Houston and Texas.

MEET THE PRESENTERS

Angela Hodson’s decades of fundraising and management experience includes successfully managing Baylor College of Medicine’s $1 billion capital campaign and serving as the CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. Angela’s consulting skills and deep insight enable her to impact a wide variety of institutional issues, from major gift fundraising and leadership coaching to financial and organizational management. Currently, Angela serves on the Giving Institute board.

Holly Lang’s experience working with nonprofit clients of all shapes and sizes has focused primarily in the areas of campaign planning and strategy, major gifts program development and strategic planning. Among her most memorable achievements includes helping an organization raise $30 million in a short 12 month timeline. More than 15 years ago, Holly began her career working for her alma mater, Rice University in the development office focusing on young alumni and annual giving. She serves as an instructor for the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership at Rice and also teaches an eight week fundraising course for University of Houston Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
