Development Best Practices: Taking your Development Program to the Next Level
In the nonprofit sector, philanthropy makes great things possible. A strong fundraising program is a necessary ingredient for success for organizations of all shapes and sizes. Whether you’re just starting out, looking to bolster your operations or preparing for large-scale plans, this six-session series will provide practical tools to enhance your fundraising program. In each of these sessions, staff from Dini Spheris will explore the topics below based on over 50 years of the firm’s knowledge and experience.
We encourage registrants to enroll in all six sessions, though each course may be taken individually. Registrants will be given online access to a development assessment, and those who register for the entire series have the opportunity to review the results with a member of Dini Spheris in a one-on-one session for 30 minutes.
Session I: Tuesday, February 4, 2020 (9:00 am to noon)
Philanthropy 101: Fundamental Elements of Strong Fundraising
Presenter: Nevena Demirovic
One of the most intangible yet integral characteristics of a nonprofit is its culture of philanthropy. Along with a comprehensive strategic plan, it is the bedrock on which a great fundraising program is built. Organizations that understand this will have established the foundation that drives successful fundraising. In this first session, learn about the core values, characteristics, principles and positive outcomes of a culture of philanthropy, and how that impacts the case for support, leadership, program delivery and more.
This is the first of six sessions offered in this series. The cost is $40 per session. Those who register for all six sessions at a total cost of $200 will receive one free session.
