The Dallas Holocaust Museum recently announced details of plans to build a new facility in the West End Historic District of downtown Dallas.
The new 50,000 square foot museum will be built across from the Sixth Floor Museum near Houston Street and the DART light rail tracks on Pacific Avenue and will be renamed the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum. The Dallas Holocaust Museum has outgrown its current rented facility and as a result, is limited to the number of visitors seen at one time.
The Museum has raised two thirds of the funds it needs to begin construction which will take approximately two years to complete.
